A ‘cookie’ is a small text file that the website you are visiting asks to save on your computer. Cookies are used on many websites to allow visitors to use various functions.
There are two different kinds of cookies. One is saved for a longer period of time and is used to determine what is new since your last visit, among other things.
The second one is a so called ‘session cookie’. These are temporarily saved on your computer to store language choices (among other things) and is deleted when you close your browser.
